Well, it was a lot of snow. Methinks we should put those rocking chairs in the shed one of these winters.
The 12 minute commute took me 25 minutes today, but all in all it was not that bad. Of course, it is supposed to continue snowing all day.
The girl is trying to overcome a viscious split at the Cub Scout bowl.
To recap: Last night I watched “Shaun of the Dead” and “Planet Terror.” Today I broke down and bought Left4Dead new (used only saved $5, at this point), and now I’m contemplating watching “Dawn of the Dead.” And all this after discussing with a police chief on Friday the best way to kill a zombie [...]
Big winter storms over the weekend are perfect for snow forts. The boy never got wise to the idea of mortar attacks, and the girl spent more time eating her fort, but it was still a grand time.
Well here we are. We tackled the 6 inches of snow that fell last night to get to the Pinewood Derby. Snow is still coming down like gangbusters — it should be knee deep by the time we leave.
The boy chose a Star Wars theme for his Pinewood Derby car this year. He also decided that “The Empire Strikes Back” is his favorite of all 7 movies (he counts “The Clone Wars” as one of the official movies, leaving me to wonder what he counts as unofficial). That’s m’boy! And he’s not alone [...]
Just beat Portal on Xbox with no hints or cheats. That birthday cake sure was good. Now I have to beat the advanced levels. I also have to track down the song from the credits: “Still Alive” by Jonathan Coulton. Or just beat the game again and record it…
