Then we must be at a wedding. We showed up at 4 for a 4:30 wedding only to discover the 2:30 wedding is still going on. What the hell? My wedding took under 30 minutes. Of course, it also featured my brother in a kilt. Finally! The bells are ringing!

Today, while digitizing tapes, my 15-year-old cassette deck finally died. Let this moment be marked with sombre song and solemn voice.
In anticipation of next weekend’s camping trip, today we aired out the family tent. It’s a Ridgeway by Kelty, and I only tell you this because it’s a 10-person tent that is easier to put up than our 2-person pup tent, even in a steady wind, like there is today.
On the way back from the Firelands Boy Scout camp we stopped for fresh honey at Krieg’s farmer’s market, and ended up with sundaes, too. Go figure.
So my recent discovery that my old skateboard offers great exercise led me to the local skateshop for some ol’ Bones Reds. I came out with the generic wheels/bearings combo pictured. It worked out cheaper, but it does hurt a bit to replace my vintage Spitfire wheels with them. Oh well–who knows how long this [...]
