The Faraway Park

The Faraway Park (as we call it) is a lovely bike ride away, and the best neighborhood park within walking distance. This, of course, assumes the weather is a temperate 70 degrees with low humidity. Today, it is neither.

No, not a real king, and no, not Elvis… Tonight we hit the local BK while we waited for our car’s tires to be replaced. For my money, there is nothing better than BK fries dipped in BK barbeque sauce. Hey — don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it.

Just over a year ago, this was a field. Now it’s a veritable shrine to commerce and over indulgence — over-priced boutiques, food, and booze, all within walking (stumbling?) distance of the insanely priced condos one floor up. Still, it’s got a nice, fat Barnes & Noble, and that’s why I’m here.
